Content Guidelines
What You Can Upload
- Original Content: Content you created or have permission to share
- Mods & Add-ons: Custom modifications for Hytale
- Maps & Worlds: Custom game worlds and adventures
- Resource Packs: Texture packs, sound packs, and shaders
- Tools & Utilities: Software that enhances the Hytale experience
Prohibited Content
- Malware: Any malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
- Stolen Content: Content copied from other creators without permission
- Inappropriate Material: Explicit, offensive, or age-inappropriate content
- Copyrighted Material: Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Misleading Content: Fake descriptions, false advertising, or clickbait
Community Behavior
Be Respectful
Treat all community members with respect. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, and personal attacks are not tolerated.
Be Constructive
Provide helpful feedback and criticism. Focus on the content, not the creator. Help others learn and improve.
Be Honest
Don't manipulate ratings, reviews, or download counts. Don't impersonate other users or creators.
Project Requirements
Quality Standards
- Provide clear descriptions of what your project does
- Include screenshots or images showing your content
- List any dependencies or requirements
- Keep your projects updated and fix reported bugs
- Respond to user feedback and questions
Attribution
- Credit other creators whose work you've used or been inspired by
- Respect licenses and permissions
- Clearly state if your project uses third-party assets
Monetization Rules
If you monetize your content through external platforms:
- Be transparent about any paid features or content
- Don't mislead users about free vs. paid content
- Ensure all monetization complies with Hytale's terms of service
- Don't use deceptive download links or advertising
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Use the report button on the content or user profile
- Provide specific details about the violation
- Don't engage with or retaliate against the violator
- Our moderation team will review all reports
Repeated violations will result in: Content removal, account warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity.
